What are typical entry level jobs for graduates

What is a typical entry level job in Vienna that most graduate students take after finishing a MSc course?

It’s difficult to define the typical entry-level jobs because many jobs share the same name, whether for beginners or seasoned professionals. E.g. sales staff, scientists, regulatory affairs manager. But you can identify the level of experience by looking at typical attributes of the job title and the words used in the ad.

E.g.: junior – junior scientist, junior controller, junior regualtory affairs manager … The “junior” always indicates, that it’s a position for beginners.

In general each job-ad describes the level of professional experiences desired. If you read “you have finished your studies” – it can be a sign for entry level. As long as the employer did not add: “and you have xy years of work experiences at minimum”. The phrase: “you are trained in …” only means you have a specific background. It doesn’t include any information about the requested work experiences.
If you read: “you will be responsible for the team” it is an indication that they are looking for an experienced candidate. An inexperienced graduate hardly can lead a team.

You always have to read a job-ad carefully to decide whether a job fits your competences or not.
